LEAP Impact FAQs

1. What do I need to apply?

   A complete application, a Letter of Endorsement from your Executive Director, a resume, and short answer responses (500 words or less) to the following:

   • Why are you interested in LEAP Impact at this time in your career?

   • Describe your role at your organization, including responsibilities that may not be captured by your job title/position.

   • Could you tell us about your career path? How did you end up doing the work that you currently do? Why did you decide to work in the nonprofit sector?

   • What leadership position do you envision having in the future? What do you believe you need to be ready for it?

   • Is there anything else you would like our selection committee to consider regarding your application?

5. I need financial support to attend the program. is there any financial assistance?

Yes! Once you submit your LEAP Impact application, immediately send Eledy Vargas Gonzalez a Letter of LEAP Impact Financial Support detailing:

1. Your nonprofit’s current organizational budget

2. Why you need additional financial support

3. How much financial support you need

*Eligibility to participate in the program will not be affected.

2. How will applications be evaluated?

• Desire for expanding self-awareness and leadership skills

• History of service and leadership in the nonprofit sector

• Full support from your Executive Director

3. How Do I stand Out as an applicant?

There is no right answer. We are all unique because of our stories. Think about who and what experiences helped shape the individual you are today. Be authentic, your passion will shine through.

4. How Can my Executive director’s letter of endorsement help me stand out as an applicant?

Your Executive Director should be able to name accomplishments in your organizations that they have seen contribute to your leadership growth, why and how the program could contribute to your leadership journey, and demonstrate an authentic interest in your growth as a leader.
