Target audience

Leadership Development for Nonprofit Staff

LEAP Impact is a three-part, eight-month program designed to develop and empower Asian and Pacific Islander leaders within the nonprofit sector. Cohort members will engage in intentional community building with peers whom are navigating similar spaces and challenges, deep reflection and conversations, executive coaching, and a multitude of activities that inspire and catalyze meaningful change internally as a leader.

LEAP Impact positions leaders to lead in their most authentic and best versions of themselves without compromising their identity, cultures, and values. Through the culmination of the experiences and building community, leaders will feel re-energized, increasing the sustainability in continuing their important nonprofit work.

Mid-to senior-level full-time, nonprofit staff and managers with 2+ years working at a nonprofit organization looking to enhance or further develop their leadership skills.

Participants must be able to commit to all three parts to be accepted into the program.

2022-23 Program

Part I: The Learning Component

Los Angeles, CA

A leadership retreat week where the cohort will build community with like-minded leaders in formal and informal settings, have constructive discourse highlighting API cultural values, managing change, and LEAP’s leadership framework, and engage with local API community leaders and organizations.

Part II: Executive Coaching Component

Virtual

Participants will attend two virtual workshops designed to support and build on their conversations from Part I. They will also engage with tools like the 360 leadership framework, start their Executive Coaching sessions, and share space with alumni and different guest speakers.

Part III: Renewal
Component

Chicago, IL

A three-day reconvening that will allow participants to reflect upon their growth, but also assess their progress, reconnect with their colleagues, and receive more skill-building sessions, small-group conversations, and action planning. There will also be a small celebratory graduation ceremony that spotlights where participants came in and how they’re departing LEAP Impact.

Tuition

Upon acceptance to this program, your program fee will be based on your organization's budget and size and an invoice will be emailed to you.

See below for the sliding scale:

  • Fee A: $499,999 or less → $500

  • Fee B: $500,000 – $999,999 → $1,000

  • Fee C: $1,000,000 – $2,999,999 → $2,000

  • Fee D: $3,000,000+ → $3,000

Program fee includes workbook materials, meals, round-trip airfare, shared lodging, and executive coaching sessions. Payment plans are also available upon request and acceptance, and scholarships are available upon request. Please email Eledy Vargas for more details
